Dell’s CEO, Michael Dell has said that the Windows Phone 7 platform is easier to develop than Android. Dell currently manufactures devices with both popular smart phone platforms on.

Dell said at an event in Hong Kong that his statement about Windows Phone 7 was due to feedback received from developers who worked on both platforms.

Dell still commended Android for everything that Google’s open source platform has done for the smartphone market.

He went on to say: “What’s interesting about the smartphone space is how it’s changing into a more open-modular system,

It’s staggering that Android has now surpassed Apple in terms of originations and this is happening at a much, much faster rate than folks had envisioned.”

In the forthcoming months, we expect Dell to finally release their new Windows Phone 7 based smartphone – the Venue Pro.
