Improved spam protection

Over the past year spam levels have been increasing, we have a basic level of spam filtering in place provided free of charge to all our customers but in some cases this isn’t sufficient. We are now working with a new partner, Spambrella, to provide improved spam filtering.

Not only is Spambrella’s service more effective in preventing spam but it also includes some great new features…

Advanced spam filtering

Our fully-managed filtering is a comprehensive email security solution that wipes out more than 99.9% of SPAM, viruses, worms, harmful content and attachments before they even reach you.

Ensuring your inboxes only contain genuine emails, increasing productivity and protecting your staff and equipment.

Click protect

Any emails containing links to a website will be checked to ensure they don’t take you to a site which contains viruses or phishing attacks. This will protect your staff from clicking on genuine looking links which re-direct to high risk websites.

Keyword filtering

Optional keyword filtering has the ability to check your emails for offensive content and block them, the recipient can be notified as a fail-safe.

Virus protection

All attachments are scanned to ensure they don’t contain a virus, if they do the virus will be removed and the email delivered as normal. If it’s not possible to remove the virus the email will be quarantined.

In addition some types of attachments can be removed regardless of content, such as .exe and scripts as these are normally malicious. This includes those hidden in a zipped folder.

Control and personalisation

The system can be configured to notify staff when email are blocked and provide a report listing quarantined emails. From here staff can release emails to their inbox if they have been blocked in error.

All the above policies can be customised for your business, ensuring only genuine spam is blocked and allowing critical business emails to reach your staff.

Whitelisting and blacklisting

Specific domains or email addresses can always be blocked or allowed.


Emails are automatically quarantined for 7 days and staff can manage their own quarantine and release emails in the unlikely event they have been blocked in error.

Activating the advanced email protection
