It’s been 15-years this month since MSN (Microsoft Network) was first launched to coincide with the new launch of its MS-DOS replacement- Windows 95 back in October 12th 1995.

Originally an online service for Windows 95 users, MSN developed into new interactive online content and various other services such as Live Hotmail and Live Messenger.

Over the past 15-years, it can definitely be said that MSN has had a lot of changes from its name through to its interface and offerings.

In May 2009 we saw MSN launch a newer version of its service offering MSN City Guides, a new design, Bing Maps, video, content sharing and more. MSN is now trying its upmost to compete against search engine dominator ‘Google’.

According to sources the MSN portal is now ranked as the 9th most visited website on the internet and is proving popular with women under the age of 25 and over 45 who don’t have children.
