Microsoft's latest addition to Office 365: To-Do

By SpiderGroup

A bit to-do

Microsoft’s newest addition to the Office 365 suite of tools becomes available from today; Microsoft To-Do.

You can manage your to-do list, set reminders and due dates for the ultimate organisation. If you're a fan of organisational apps, then this may be a contender, especially for those already utilising the Office 365 package. Your tasks can be added to ‘My Day’ so you can easily plan what you aim to complete today, for effective planning and control.

The ‘My Day’ list starts empty each day so any unfinished tasks are cleared out ready for a new day. To-Do also uses intelligence to suggest tasks you may want to consider completing on a given day, in an effort to automate your daily planning.

Multiple lists can be created so you can have lists for different work streams or projects. You can also create shopping lists, holiday packing lists etc so useful for inside work and out!

Office 365

To-do is available everywhere; you can access it through the Office 365 web portal, via Windows 10 app or mobile apps on Android and iOS. Those using Office 365 can sync their handy items or lists into Outlook in the Tasks view, so if you already use this on a day to day basis then you’ll find all your tasks are already in To-Do. Easy!

FAQ

How do I get it?

Microsoft is rolling it out right now, so you may already have it or will very soon. The apps are available to download now on all platforms.

What about Macs?

There is no app for Apple Macs, but you can use Tasks in the Outlook app and the web portal version of To-Do.

Why should I use it?

There are plenty of To-Do offerings out there but if you already use the Office 365 suite of tools, it integrates nicely with them. We’d suggest giving it a shot to see what you think.

Can I import tasks?

You can import tasks from Wunderlist and Todist, just go to https://import.todo.microsoft.com/ and follow the wizard.

Do I have to be using Office 365?

No, To-Do is available as a free tool for anyone.
